Materials
needed:
1) Copier paper 2) Tape measure 3) Digital or film
camera (optional) 4) Pen or pencil
Rectangular pedals:
1) Remove any rubber covers before taking
measurements. 2) Draw a rough sketch on a piece of copier
paper. 3) Measure width and height of pedal and note on
sketch.
Curved pedals (typically brake and
clutch):
1) Hold a piece of paper against the side of the pedal
and trace the pedal curvature on the paper. 2) Draw two
3" reference lines, one horizontal (below or above the
tracing), and one vertical (to either side of the
tracing).
Tapered pedals:
1) Remove any rubber covers before taking
measurements. 2) Draw a rough sketch of the pedal on a
piece of copier paper. 3) Measure width at top, width at
bottom, and height of pedal and note on
sketch.
Irregularly shaped pedals:
1) Remove any rubber covers before taking
measurements. 2) Draw a rough sketch on a piece of copier
paper. 3) Measure length of each side of pedal and note
on sketch. Please also note all right angles on
sketch.
